Haryana’s Veterinary Hero Anil Joshi: A Life Dedicated to Service
Mr. Anil Joshi’s love for animals was deeply rooted from his childhood—be it feeding stray dogs or nursing injured birds. This love eventually translated into his professional and personal mission: “Raise your voice for the voiceless.”
His journey as a VLDA began in 2006, and since then, he has continuously pushed boundaries, blending government service with grassroots activism. Notably, in 2023, he was honored with the prestigious ‘Veterinary Care Innovator of the Year’ award by Journal Talk Media at the national level, in recognition of his extraordinary contribution to veterinary care.

Anil Joshi of Haryana: A Champion for Stray Animals
One of the most commendable parts of Mr. Joshi’s work is his voluntary treatment of over 2500 injured or ill stray animals, especially those affected by road accidents. His mission: ensure no animal suffers in silence.
To combat the menace of rabies, Mr. Joshi has organized free anti-rabies vaccination camps across his region, vaccinating over 800 stray and domestic dogs. These camps are not just about vaccination but also about spreading awareness on rabies prevention, a vital yet often neglected public health concern.
