In the world of healthcare, there are doctors who treat symptoms, and then there are those who treat the very essence of well-being. Dr. Kshitija Warkar is one of the latter, embodying a philosophy of healing that extends beyond the confines of medicine.
Meet Dr Kshitija Warkar: Embodying the Harmony between Medicine & Mindfulness
Dr. Warkar began her journey armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery, ready to carve out a career as a clinical practitioner, but life had more to offer. As her understanding of the healthcare system expanded, so did her role. She often donned the skipper’s hat unassumingly, discovering her aptitude for leadership and creating change. Her desire to impact healthcare on a larger scale led her to pursue a postgraduate degree in hospital administration and management. Over the past decade, she has taken on roles such as Project Lead, Head of Medical Services, and Head of Operations, shaping the landscape of hospital management with a structured, patient-centric approach.
Despite her professional achievements, Dr. Warkar refuses to take herself too seriously. Outside her professional life, she is a fun-loving mother who jokingly describes her fitness regime as “running after a ten-year-old.” Her personal evolution has drawn her toward mental health and spiritual well-being, leading to her passionate involvement in mindfulness and meditation practices.
“Mindfulness isn’t just about sitting cross-legged and pretending you’re calm,” she says. “It’s about embracing the chaos of life without wanting to scream into a pillow every day.”
This light-hearted yet profound approach has guided Dr. Warkar to become a certified mindfulness facilitator, a role in which she helps others—particularly young professionals, parents, and women—navigate the complexities of modern life with calm and clarity.

Passion for Mindfulness and Meditation
Through her personal venture, Welcome to the Present Moment, Dr. Warkar seeks to bring mindfulness and meditation into the daily lives of people, offering techniques for mental well-being and self-discovery. “My mission is to help people stop living like their hair’s on fire,” she laughs, yet the seriousness behind her goal is unmistakable. She is passionate about creating a safe space for individuals to reconnect with themselves, find inner peace, and build resilience.
Beyond her professional and personal endeavours, Dr. Warkar is also a closet Hindi cinema enthusiast. She loves dissecting the humour and wisdom in Shah Rukh Khan’s films, often wondering if his pearls of wisdom reach a wide enough audience.
In addition to being an avid reader and storyteller, Dr. Warkar is a fashion enthusiast who believes that while you can’t always solve life’s problems, you can certainly look good while trying.
As she reflects on her journey so far, she emphasizes the importance of resilience, self-belief, and humour in navigating life’s challenges. For Dr. Kshitija Warkar, life is a delicate dance between growth and giving back, and her journey is a testament to that rhythm.
